Stoïk Acquires CyberContract
On Wed, Sep 3, 2025, Stoïk, a French cyber insurance specialist for SMEs and ETIs, announced its acquisition of CyberContract. CyberContract is a leading provider of cyber insurance for Belgian SMEs.
Details of the Acquisition
Founded in 2014 by Katrien Dom, Koen Druyts, Koen Hees, and Maarten Dom, CyberContract has established itself as a market leader in Flanders, Belgium, insuring over 1,000 companies through a network of 150 partner brokers. This acquisition allows Stoïk, already present in France, Germany, Austria, Spain, and Luxembourg, to enter the Belgian market efficiently.
Strategic Goals
Jules Veyrat, CEO of Stoïk, highlighted the seamless nature of the acquisition process. The acquisition serves multiple strategic purposes: introducing Stoïk to a new market, aligning with CyberContract’s culture in combining insurance and cybersecurity, and leveraging Stef Vermeulen’s role as the newly appointed Country Manager for Belgium.
Market Impact
This acquisition is part of Stoïk’s strategy to build a pan-European network of brokers offering a combined financial coverage and cybersecurity services package. The move also reflects a broader trend of consolidating the fragmented cyber insurance market in Europe.
With this acquisition, Stoïk strengthens its position as a central player in the European cyber insurance market, aiming to become the preferred partner for brokers as demand from SMEs grows due to increasing cyber threats.
