Users receive emails posing as official Apple communications, claiming that a transaction has been blocked, a meeting has been scheduled, or suspicious activity has been detected on their Apple ID. The goal is to create a sense of urgency.
The email prompts users to call a specific number where a person impersonates Apple support, attempting to acquire the victim’s Apple ID and payment information. The email appears legitimate, featuring Apple's logo and a similar layout to official communications, including a copyright notice to enhance credibility.
There are several indicators of phishing attempts:
The sender's email address contains unusual numbers and terms, unlike official Apple addresses. Poorly constructed greetings such as "Bonjour Nom" are common in such scams. A search of the phone number provided can often reveal the deception.
