Valve has officially released a native Steam Link app for Apple’s Vision Pro, providing a streamlined, first-party solution for streaming PC games to the mixed reality headset. This move marks a significant shift for Vision Pro owners, who previously had to rely on complex third-party tools like ALVR to access their Steam libraries.
The app allows users to wirelessly stream games from a host computer (whether it be a Windows PC, Mac, or Linux machine) directly to the Vision Pro’s high-resolution displays over a local network.
High-Resolution Gaming in Mixed Reality
According to Valve, the current iteration of the app supports streaming at resolutions up to 4K.
